We offer a range of services for people setting up their smart homes, from recommendations to trouble shooting, home assistant to simple apps. The possibilities are endless.

Smart Home @ Work
Why not add some smarts to your business? From simply adding smart plugs to hard to reach areas, to full point of sale systems, integrated music solutions, Alexa discos, you name it we can help!
We have worked with hospitality and retail to add smart solutions to tough problems. We have also designed and installed systems for offices, including meeting room management. Smart solutions don’t stop with plugs and bulbs. Smart automations in businesses can give you a unique edge!
Networking Services
A stable network is the key to any smart home deployment. We work with many suppliers, but tend to focus on unifi solutions for switches and wifi and OPNSense for firewalls. Using mini PCs or virtual machines we can setup mini virtual environments or bare metal solutions.
Using proxmox for virtualisation you can host home assistant, your firewall and network controller on one single small device. Keeping control 100% local, privacy and security play a key part in everything we design and deploy. For smaller deployments we use the Raspberry Pi 4 with an SSD to deploy home assistant.
IT Services

Hardware & Software Recommendations
Here at SSH we love helping people with their smart home setups. We are happy to recommend hardware and software to make your experience more fulfilling. We don't tie ourselves to one brand believing that if you have the right "hub" (i.e. Alexa / Home Assistant) in place you can mix and match to your hearts content.
We recommend setting up a hub as early as possible and then picking suppliers based on compatibility, we also recommend getting a cheap android tablet (the Nokia T10 is our current favourite) to install all the apps on so you don’t overwhelm your mobile! The added advantage of a dedicated tablet is that you can setup a home dashboard for users who don’t want to use voice control or apps. We also recommend a range of physical buttons; Aqara and flic to name but two!
Remote Support
Using our own remote support platform, we can remote into your system and help you with any issues you have. Sometimes this can be a quick fix and an easy route to getting your smart home working again.
Using mesh commander technology hosted on our own dedicated infrastructure we can help diagnose smart home issues from afar! We can, of course, come onsite to help, but sometimes this isn’t needed, saving you time, money and the environment!
